Wedding Photographer in Chandigarh
For the city that dresses up for every function: candid frames, cinematic films and an album your grandchildren will fight over.
Drishti Weddings is a candid wedding photography and filmmaking team for Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula and Zirakpur. We have covered 250+ weddings in 14 years, and we photograph the whole day, from the morning chooda to the last song at the reception, without turning it into a photo shoot.
Tricity weddings move fast. A haldi at home, a sangeet in a banquet hall in Mohali, an Anand Karaj in the gurudwara and a reception in a hotel ballroom, sometimes inside one weekend. A team of 10 photographers, filmmakers and editors plans the schedule with you, so there is always a camera where the moment is, and never one in the way.

At a glance

Every function, covered
From the roka to the reception
Most Chandigarh couples book us for three to five functions. These are the ones we are asked for most, and the moments we look for in each.
- 01 Roka & EngagementThe first ring, the first family photo, the first nervous laugh.
- 02 SangeetMohali banquet halls, bhangra and the uncle who steals the floor.
- 03 Anand KarajFour laavan, quiet faces and the hand that holds the palla.
- 04 ReceptionBallroom lights, a first dance and portraits between the guests.
Why tricity couples choose us
Quietly there, completely present
Four things couples in Chandigarh tell us they noticed, usually only after the photos arrived.
-
01We blend into big families
A Chandigarh wedding can mean four hundred guests and three generations in one hall. We work like guests who happen to carry cameras, so your family stays itself and nobody is asked to "look here" every five minutes.
Before the wedding we ask for a short list of the people who matter most: grandparents, the cousin who flew in from Canada, the friend who did your mehndi. One photographer keeps an eye on that list all day, so the faces you care about are never missing from the album.
-
02One team for photos and films
Our photographers and filmmakers plan the day together. Nobody fights for the same spot at the pheras, the light is set once, and your film and your album tell the same story in the same colours.

Most tricity couples choose a highlight film to share with family abroad and a full-length film that keeps every speech and ritual. Both are shot by the same crew that takes your photographs, which also keeps the team smaller on the day.
-
03Light that flatters, not flash that flattens
Banquet halls and hotel ballrooms are hard places to photograph. We bring soft, directional light and know when to switch it off, so skin looks like skin and the lehenga keeps its real colour.
-
04Delivered when we say
Your edited gallery arrives in about 30 days and your films in about 45 days, with the dates written into your quote. Album pages are designed with you, one spread at a time, before anything goes to print.
Weddings we have told here
Chandigarh, in our frames
A reception in gold light, a wedding with a dance floor that never emptied, and a film told end to end. Open any of them to see the whole day.
Starting prices
How much does a wedding photographer cost in Chandigarh?
Wedding photography with Drishti Weddings in Chandigarh starts from ₹9,999 for a single function. A full Punjabi wedding with photos and films is quoted on your dates, the number of functions, the hours of coverage and extras like drone or printed albums. You get a clear, itemised quote within a day.
What changes the price
What changes the price most is the number of functions and whether they fall on the same day. A roka in Panchkula and a wedding in Zirakpur two months apart need two crews and two travel days; a haldi, sangeet and wedding across one weekend can share them. Peak-season Saturdays between November and February book first, so if you already have a date, tell us early. Checking availability is free, and any travel cost is written into the quote, never added later.

All of the tricity, and a little beyond
Chandigarh, Mohali and Panchkula are one city for us. We are just as often at farmhouses outside Zirakpur or banquet halls along the Kharar road.
- 01 Chandigarh Hotel receptions, gurudwara weddings and home functions in the sectors.
- 02 Mohali Banquet halls, sangeet nights and the airport-road hotels.
- 03 Panchkula Garden functions with the Shivalik hills behind the stage.
- 04 Zirakpur Farmhouse weddings and day-long celebrations on the highway belt.
- 05 Kharar & New Chandigarh Newer venues and big family homes on the edge of the city.
Pre-wedding shoots
Where tricity couples love to shoot
A pre-wedding near Chandigarh can be a morning in the city or a weekend in the hills. These are the places couples ask us about most. We plan permissions, timings and outfits with you.
- 01 Sukhna Lake Early-morning mist on the water, before the walkers arrive.
- 02 Rose Garden Soft colour all spring, and shade when the sun is high.
- 03 Rock Garden Sculpted walls and arches for a more editorial look.
- 04 Pinjore Gardens Mughal terraces and fountains, half an hour from the city.
- 05 Morni Hills Lakes and winding roads for a sunset drive shoot.
- 06 Kasauli Pine forests and cool air, a short drive up the hills.
Our Chandigarh studio
Moving in, already at home
Our main office is moving to Chandigarh. Until its doors open, we meet couples at their home, at a café in the city or on a video call, and our team already covers weddings across the tricity every season.
Meeting us in the meantime
When the Chandigarh studio opens, its address, hours and map will appear here and on our Google Business Profile. Until then, every booking, meeting and album viewing for tricity couples is arranged on WhatsApp, and our Abohar studio stays open every day for portraits and planning.
Kind words
We barely noticed them all day - and then the photos arrived and every single feeling was there. Our parents still go through the album every week.
Questions
Wedding photography in Chandigarh
The questions Chandigarh couples ask us most. Anything else? Ask us on WhatsApp.
How far in advance should we book a wedding photographer in Chandigarh?
Book four to eight months ahead if your wedding falls between October and March, the peak wedding season in Chandigarh and Punjab. Weekend and muhurat dates fill first. For smaller functions or off-season dates, a few weeks is often enough. Send us your date on WhatsApp and we will tell you if it is free.
Do you cover weddings in Mohali, Panchkula and Zirakpur?
Yes. We treat the whole tricity as one city, so weddings in Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula, Zirakpur, Kharar and New Chandigarh are covered by the same team. Many tricity weddings move between a home, a gurudwara and a hotel in one day, and we plan the travel between them for you.
Do you have a studio in Chandigarh?
Our main office is moving to Chandigarh, and its address will be published here as soon as it opens. Until then, we meet tricity couples at home, at a café or on a video call, and we already cover weddings across Chandigarh every season. Our Abohar studio is open daily.
Where can we do a pre-wedding shoot near Chandigarh?
Popular choices are Sukhna Lake at sunrise, the Rose Garden, the Rock Garden and Pinjore Gardens in the city, or Morni Hills and Kasauli for a day in the hills. We help you choose by season, light and outfits, and check any permissions a location needs before the shoot.
Can you photograph low-light hotel and banquet weddings in Chandigarh?
Yes. Most tricity receptions and sangeets happen in hotel ballrooms and banquet halls with warm, dim light. We bring soft, directional lighting and fast lenses, and switch lights off when the room looks better without them, so skin tones and outfit colours stay true to the evening.
