Booking & prices

How far in advance should we book a wedding photographer in Chandigarh?

Book four to eight months ahead if your wedding falls between October and March, the peak wedding season in Chandigarh and Punjab. Weekend and muhurat dates fill first. For smaller functions or off-season dates, a few weeks is often enough. Send us your date on WhatsApp and we will tell you if it is free.

How do we book and confirm our date?

Fill in the short booking form with your dates, functions and city. It opens WhatsApp with your details ready to send to the studio. We reply with availability and a quote, and your date is confirmed once you approve the quote and pay the booking amount.

How much does a wedding photographer cost?

Our wedding photography starts from ₹9,999 for a single function in Chandigarh or Abohar. A full wedding is priced on the number of functions, hours of coverage, team size and extras such as films, drone and printed albums. Send your dates and we reply within a day with a clear, itemised quote.

Do we have to pay to check if our date is free?

No. Checking availability is always free. Send your date and city on WhatsApp or through the enquiry form, and we tell you within a day whether our team is free. Your date is only held for you once you approve the quote and pay the booking amount.

Can we mix photography, films and albums in one package?

Yes. Every package is built around your wedding, so you can book photography only, photos and films together, or add a pre-wedding shoot, drone coverage and printed albums. One quote lists each part separately, so you can see exactly what you are paying for and change it before booking.

Functions & coverage

Do you travel outside Chandigarh and Abohar?

Yes. We cover the whole Chandigarh tricity, including Mohali, Panchkula, Zirakpur and Kharar, and the Abohar region, including Fazilka, Sri Ganganagar, Bathinda and Malout. We also shoot destination weddings in Udaipur, Goa, Canada, the UAE and Thailand. Travel and stay outside these areas are quoted separately.

What is the difference between candid and traditional wedding photography?

Candid photography captures real moments as they happen, without posing: the laughter, the tears, the glances. Traditional photography covers the planned shots, such as family groups, rituals and stage photos. Most Punjabi families want both, so every Drishti Weddings package includes candid and traditional coverage by the same team.

Do you cover all Punjabi wedding functions?

Yes. We photograph and film every function, including Roka, Sagan, Chunni, Haldi, Mehndi, Jaggo, the Anand Karaj or pheras, the reception and the Doli. You choose which functions to include, and we plan the team size and timings around your schedule so nothing important is missed.

Do you offer drone coverage?

Yes. Drone photos and video can be added to any wedding or pre-wedding shoot, flown by our trained operator. Aerial shots work best for the baraat, the venue and open-air functions. Drone flights depend on venue permission and local rules, which we check with you before the day.

How many photographers will be at our wedding?

It depends on your functions and guest count. A small roka may need one photographer, while a large Punjabi wedding usually has a lead photographer, a second photographer and a film crew. We suggest the team size in your quote, and you can change it before you book.

Photos, films & delivery

How long does it take to get our wedding photos and film?

Your edited photo gallery is delivered in about 30 days and your wedding films in about 45 days after the last function. During peak season we share the timeline in writing when you book, so you always know when to expect each part of your order.

Can we get the raw, unedited photos?

We deliver a fully edited gallery rather than raw files, because the editing is part of how your photos look and feel. Every usable frame is colour-corrected and selected by our editors. If you need specific unedited files for a reason, ask us before booking and we will tell you what is possible.

What is the difference between a highlight film and a full film?

A highlight film is a short, cinematic edit of your wedding set to music, made to share with family and friends. A full-length film keeps every ritual, speech and dance in order, so you can relive the whole day. Most couples choose both, shot by the same crew.

How are our photos delivered?

You receive a private online gallery with every edited photo, ready to view, download and share with family abroad. Films are delivered as high-quality downloads, and a highlight can be shared privately on YouTube if you like. Printed albums follow once you approve the page design.

Chandigarh

Do you cover weddings in Mohali, Panchkula and Zirakpur?

Yes. We treat the whole tricity as one city, so weddings in Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula, Zirakpur, Kharar and New Chandigarh are covered by the same team. Many tricity weddings move between a home, a gurudwara and a hotel in one day, and we plan the travel between them for you.

Do you have a studio in Chandigarh?

Our main office is moving to Chandigarh, and its address will be published here as soon as it opens. Until then, we meet tricity couples at home, at a café or on a video call, and we already cover weddings across Chandigarh every season. Our Abohar studio is open daily.

Where can we do a pre-wedding shoot near Chandigarh?

Popular choices are Sukhna Lake at sunrise, the Rose Garden, the Rock Garden and Pinjore Gardens in the city, or Morni Hills and Kasauli for a day in the hills. We help you choose by season, light and outfits, and check any permissions a location needs before the shoot.

Can you photograph low-light hotel and banquet weddings in Chandigarh?

Yes. Most tricity receptions and sangeets happen in hotel ballrooms and banquet halls with warm, dim light. We bring soft, directional lighting and fast lenses, and switch lights off when the room looks better without them, so skin tones and outfit colours stay true to the evening.

Abohar

Do you have a photo studio in Abohar?

Yes. Our studio is at Abha City Square, SCO N1, Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Marg, Nai Sadak, Abohar, and it is open every day from 9 am to 9 pm. Come in to see albums, watch our films, book a portrait or pre-wedding shoot and plan your wedding with us in person.

Do you cover weddings in Fazilka, Sri Ganganagar and Malout?

Yes. From our Abohar studio we cover weddings across Fazilka, Sri Ganganagar, Malout, Muktsar and Bathinda with the same team that shoots in Abohar. Any travel cost is written into your quote upfront, and multi-day weddings across two towns can share one crew to keep the price down.

When should we book our wedding photographer in Abohar?

Book three to six months ahead for a wedding between November and February, when most Abohar families marry and weekend dates fill first. Off-season dates and smaller functions can often be booked a few weeks before. Visit the studio or send your date on WhatsApp to check it.

Can we do a pre-wedding shoot in Abohar?

Yes. Kinnow orchards in winter, mustard fields in January and February, canal banks at sunset and old haveli courtyards all make beautiful local backdrops, and our studio has sets for any weather. If you would rather travel, we also shoot pre-weddings in Kasauli, Kashmir and Goa.

Do you photograph village and farmhouse weddings around Abohar?

Yes, often. Open-air pandals, farmhouse functions and weddings at home are a big part of our work around Abohar. We plan for daylight, long rituals and power backup, and we know when the baraat, milni and pheras usually happen, so the whole day is covered without gaps.

Destination weddings

Do you shoot destination weddings in Udaipur, Goa or abroad?

Yes. We photograph and film destination weddings across India, including Udaipur, Jaipur, Goa and Kashmir, and abroad in Thailand, the UAE, Indonesia and Canada. The same team travels with you from the welcome dinner to the last dance, so families in Punjab and overseas get photographers they trust.

How is a destination wedding priced?

A destination wedding is quoted on the number of days, functions and crew, plus travel and stay for the team, which we list separately so nothing is hidden. Share the city, venue and dates, and we send an itemised quote, usually within a day. Booking early helps keep flights affordable.

Do you handle travel and visas for the team?

Yes. We book the team’s flights and plan their arrival around your first function, so you only need to share the schedule. For weddings abroad we arrange our own visas and equipment paperwork; we just need your venue details and an invitation letter if the country asks for one.

Can you also shoot a pre-wedding at our destination?

Yes, and it is one of the best ways to use the trip. A pre-wedding shoot a day before the functions, on a beach in Goa or in Jaipur’s old city, gives you portraits without guests around and helps you relax in front of the camera before the wedding itself.
